So this is arguably the latest thing I've done. I think it was Scott Altmann who told me to brush up an old sketch I had lying around.

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm digging the orange glow. :D

A little more progress

Here's another 2 or 3 hours worked on the piece. I need to get scrammin' if I'm going to finish 3 of these in two more weeks.

In-progress: EMT-1

In an attempt to keep my blog alive and kicking, I'll try to do regular in-progress posts of my work!

This is me being nerdy over spring vacation and not going to Cabo and Venezuela like the rest. I believe this is going to be the first of a set of 3 paintings centered around EMTs and paramedics. I wasn't quite sure what to do for a photo shoot with one of my friends until I realised that he was, in fact, an EMT.

Once upon a time I wanted to be an EMT, but then I found out it usually involves very low pay and post-traumatic stress disorders, depending on the area and shifts you're serving.

In any case, this series is to be dedicated to the guys that work for the greater good. Granted, I've never had to ride an ambulance, but thanks in advance.

Site Updated with MORE STUFF!

So I've updated my website with an entirely new section: conceptual.

I'm moving in a very new direction compared to my previous work, so I figured it'd be good to set the two apart. Everything in this section is painted in oils.

Here's one of the latest pieces I've done, all of which you can find on my site. In the next few months I plan on doing a companion piece to it as well as a few other sets/series. I definitely like doing pieces in sets now.

In other news, I love outbidding people on eBay, and I won that awesome watch from my previous post (except in all white, because I need something light and airy for spring). Also, I sound pretty girly right now, so I'll just end it here.
